Out-of-hospital cardiac arrest is the leading cause of death in the world with more than 3 million deaths each year. An estimated 15% of out-of-hospital cardiac arrests occur in the workplace. And the sad thing is that more than 90% of cardiac arrest victims die due to not receiving timely and accurate first aid.
In Vietnam, on average every year, 200,000 people die from cardiovascular disease, 30% of which are from out-of-hospital cardiac arrest.
With the desire to raise awareness about the dangers of cardiac arrest and the role of proper first aid in the workplace, the Wellbeing Health Education Organization has developed a series of seminars “Updating first aid knowledge hospital for medical professionals in business” with the first destination being Ho Chi Minh City this April.
